About Me
I'm a computational biologist with a passion for decoding complex biological systems using data science, AI, and machine learning. My academic foundation comes from a Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences from UC Irvine. Recently, I have worked for Genentech as a Computational Scientist at Genentech, where I support cancer oncology research. My past work spans from building robust bioinformatics pipelines to mining clinical and omics datasets for actionable insights, especially in oncology and muscular dystrophy.
I specialize in next-generation sequencing (NGS) data, including bulk and single-cell RNA-seq, ATAC-seq, and ChIP-seq. I'm fluent in Python, R, and a range of tools such as Seurat, Scanpy, and PyTorch Geometric. Recently, I’ve been integrating large language models and graph neural networks to explore unstructured data, social behavior, and molecular biology from new angles.
Outside of research, I enjoy weight lifting, video gaming, and exploring the intersection of technology, spirituality, and ancient history. Whether I’m visualizing biological pathways or experimenting with AI to analyze complex process/phenomenon, I’m always looking for elegant ways to connect systems and ideas.
This site is a hub for my ongoing work, open-source projects, and thoughts at the frontier of computational biology and AI.
